Getting To Know Me
Past
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! My name is Kaitlyn Miller, but most people call me Katie. I grew up in a small town called Lebanon, Pennsylvania which is around 15 minutes away from Hershey. I attended a very small high school where everyone knew everyone. I grew up always spending time with my family. I love my parents to death and couldn't be thankful for the hard-work they put into everything I do and they will always inspire me. I am the youngest of four which definitely has its perks. During my childhood, I basically grew up at my favorite beach in New Jersey called Cape May. Ever since I was little I have always been into fashion, spending time with my family, hanging out with friends, listening to music, going to the beach, shopping, and watching a lot of movies.
Present
I am currently a freshman at High Point as a Strategic Communications major and I hope to declare a minor in Marketing at the end of the semester. I am involved in Greek Life as a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and am so passionate about it. I am hoping to get involved in clubs, but am not set on one at this very moment. I came to High Point because everyone around me back home always chose to stay close to home and never take any risks. I always knew I wanted to go somewhere down south along most people from the north. At High Point, I enjoy spending time with my friends, sisters, or relaxing by the fire at Cottrell.
Future
As a Strategic Communications major, I hope to land a job working for a company's social media accounts or creating advertisements for a fashion company. I am very interested in doing the 5 year program which would allow me to obtain my Master's Degree here at High Point. Along with my dream job, I hope to work in New York City, but end up living at the beach somewhere down the road because it holds a spot in my heart and is a very important part of my life. Before I graduate, I hope to study abroad in Australia or Italy and spend my summer's working at an internship to gain more hands on experience within my major. I also hope to run for the PR position in my sorority as well.
Fun fact: I am ambidextrous!
